INTRODUCTION |
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
|
* All BWY
Diploma Holders are required to attend at least one IST event per
year between January and December
incl. Proof of attendance and
of current membership is required, in order to be retained on the
database of BWY
teachers.
|
|
| |
|
* To
facilitate the above, each Region, under the direction of the
Regional Officer (R0), will appoint an RTO, who
will
automatically become a member of the Regional Committee.
|
|
| |
|
* Although the office comes up for
election annually, it is suggested that the period of office be a
minimum 3 years
after which time the post holder may wish
to stand down or continue. The time period is only a suggestion to
give
an idea of the
commitment required and allow continuity of the role to the Regional
Committee.
It
is preferred that the RTO should be a DCT. If this is not possible
then a BWY Diploma Holder may be
appointed, provided
they have held the diploma for a
minimum of 1 year. In any Region, the onus to find
a suitable post holder will fall
directly on theRO, after consultation with the Regional Committee.
It is suggested
that the RTO find a deputy as soon as possible so that if s/he is
ill, away or unable to continue,
then someone else is in the
picture and may take over in the interim.

|
* The
RTO will be responsible for the organisation and co‑ordination of
IST events within their Region in compliance
with
ED20c

The RTO will liaise closely with the RO, CRs and DCTs to ensure that
sufficient IST Events are held throughout the
whole of their Region to enable all Diploma
Holders easy access to one event per annum.

ADVERTISING IST EVENTS |
|
| |
|
*
IST Events must be specifically advertised as In‑Service Training
Events in Yoga 2 and in Regional Newsletters |
|
| |
|
* Prior
to advertising an event, the Event Organiser will obtain a Scheme of
Work from the tutor which should be
sent to the
RTO who will
open a file and issue an IST Reference number for that event. Copy
should then be sent
to the National IST Officer (NISTO) for
approval. A detailed Lesson Plan andlor C.V. of the tutor may be
asked for. The NISTO will then send approval to
the RTO who will in turn let the Event Organiser know that the
event has
been approved. The Event Organiser will confirm with
the tutor that approval has been received and the
event may then
be advertised as a BWY IST Event.
|
|
| |
|
* When
the training event is a repeat one and the Scheme of Work has
already been approved, a copy of the
Scheme
of
Work
should
still be sent to NISTO so that he/she
has a record of all IST events
being held. There is
also a form informing NISTO of the
new Reference Number issued, proposed date and the venue.
