Diploma Courses, Training Modules and In-Service-Training days are listed in the Regional Diary on this site and the county and diary sections of the regional magazine 'YogaEast'.

The Register of Exercise Professionals (an initiative founded by the Department of Health; www.reps-uk.org) is only able to accept British Wheel of Yoga Teachers. Leisure centres, fitness centres, Local Education Authorities and Local Health Authorities have been instructed by SkillsActive (Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure and Learning; www.skillsactiveuk.com) to utilise REPs when employing yoga teachers.

Integration Course for Yoga Teachers :-

Many talented yoga teachers from traditions other than those currently accredited by BWY have already encountered the effects of REPs in their work place. The BWY offer a course of twelve days, spread over 10/12months, for teachers already trained though another tradition or organisation, who would like BWY accreditation.

A number of post-diploma modules have also been developed. Modules include: Teaching Yoga to Children, Pregnancy, Post-Pregnancy, Teaching Yoga in Prisons, Yoga for the Third Age and Meditation. A new course, the Advanced Diploma in Special Needs is being developed.

Courses throughout the UK are also detailed in the Wheel's quarterly magazine 'Spectrum', in the Diary events section of this site and also in the regional magazine 'YogaEast'. Details of courses and others are also available through the Regional Training Officer.
